The Chief Accountant is responsible to oversee the day to day activities of the country accounting team and ensure that accurate financial and management accounts are produced.
This means using accounting and economic skills to evaluate operating data, detect business trends and prepare financial statements that comply with organization standards, regulatory requirements, accounting principles, tax reporting and issues.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Management of all the Company's accounting processes by organizing and keeping the Company's accounting records documenting all financial and economic events. Creation of the accounting policy and its development. Conducting credit control and tax policy of the company
  • Accounting and Invoicing departments management
  • Planning, organizing and implementing various functions within the company (accounting, invoicing, taxes)
  • Preparing monthly BS and P&L (separate for each business line)
  • Group reporting including monthly results, budgeting, forecasting, budgetary control and variance analysis
  • Posting documents (payroll, social security, prepayments), verification of the correctness of balances General Ledger
  • Monthly calculation of accruals (for revenue and costs
  • Taxes: VAT, including SAF-T - calculation, declaration and posting (monthly). CIT, WHT - calculation, declaration and posting (monthly and yearly). Local taxes
  • Reporting to NBP (quarterly)
  • Insurances
  • Preparation of yearly Financial Report (external audits)
  • Preparation TP documentation with PY support
  • Responsibility for the completeness, timeliness and reliability of information sent to the tax office
  • Cooperation with all business line operation managers (including assistance with all tender documents)
  • Working capital control

Requirements:

  • University Degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge in fast-paced technologies and accounting programs and possess.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Fluent Polish, good English.
  • Time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
